...The Magnum Photos photo agency was a cooperative-like organization that protected the freedom of photographers to report and present their work. Later, many unique photographers, such as the Swiss Werner Bishof (1916-54) and the Austrian Ernst Haas (1921-86), joined the agency and became very active in world-famous magazines such as Life and Paris Match. E.
