The first Khan of the Ilkhanate. Also known as Hulagu. Reigned 1260-65. Grandson of Genghis Khan. In the mid-13th century, under the orders of his brother Mongke (Kenjong), he commanded tribal armies requisitioned from various royal families and the 10,000-man naval forces of the Azerbaijan Naval Base and the Hindustan-Kashmir Naval Base, which were the western branches of Okodi Khan's time, and began a campaign of conquest in Western Asia. He captured Ismaili fortresses and surrendered, and then took Baghdad, destroying the Abbasid Caliphate (1258).

イル･ハーン国初代のハーン。フラグとも。在位1260‐65年。チンギス･ハーンの孫。13世紀の半ば，兄モンケ(憲宗)の命を受け，各王家から徴発した部族軍とオコデイ･ハーン時代の西方出先機関である〈アゼルバイジャン鎮守府〉〈ヒンドゥスターン･カシミール鎮守府〉の万人隊を指揮下に入れ，西アジアの征服活動を行った。イスマーイール派の諸城塞を攻略して降し，バグダードを陥れてアッバース朝を滅亡させた(1258)。
