This suspension bridge is located in New York City, New York, USA. It connects Manhattan, the economic center of New York, and Brooklyn. It was designed by John Roebling using the best of 19th century technology, and was completed in 1883 by his son, Washington Roebling. With a total length of 1,053m, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world at the time, and is called the "Steel Harp" because of the beauty of the wires that suspend the bridge. The lower section is a road for automobiles, and the upper section is a pedestrian walkway.

アメリカのニューヨーク州ニューヨーク市にある吊橋。ニューヨーク経済の中心地であるマンハッタンとブルックリンを結ぶ橋で、19世紀の技術の粋を集めてジョン・ローブリングが設計し、その息子のワシントン・ローブリングが1883年に完成させた。全長1053mは当時として世界最長のつり橋で、橋を吊っているワイヤーの美しさから「スチールハープ」と呼ばれている。下段は自動車専用道路、上段は歩行者道になっている。
