1929‐ Belgian composer. He studied at the Liège and Brussels Conservatories. In 1958, he established an electronic music studio at the Brussels Radio Station. In his early days, he was strongly influenced by A. Webern's twelve-tone technique, and produced works with the strict structure of musique seriale, such as Quintet for Memories of Webern (1955) and electronic music Scambi (1957). Later, he incorporated chance elements, and in his five-act opera Your Faust (1967), based on a libretto by M. Butor, he used a method in which the progress of the play was decided by audience votes, which caused a great stir. Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
初期はA.
