Battle of Fujigawa

Japanese: 富士川の戦 - ふじがわのたたかい
Battle of Fujigawa
In October 1180, the Taira clan, led by General Taira no Koremori, faced off against the forces of Minamoto no Yoritomo across the Fuji River in Suruga Province. It is said that the Taira forces mistook the sound of waterfowl wings taking flight all at once for an enemy attack and fled without a fight.
