Chrysler [company] - Chrysler

Japanese: クライスラー[会社] - クライスラー
Chrysler [company] - Chrysler
An American automobile company established in 1925. For many years, the three companies were ranked third in the United States after General Motors and Ford, and were known as the Big Three. After the end of the post-World War II automobile boom, the company fell into a slump due to management failures and internal conflicts, but recovered in the 1960s. The third largest American automobile company in the United States after General Motors and Ford. It produces a wide range of cars, from luxury cars such as the Chrysler series, such as the Newport and New Yorker, to mid-range cars such as the Dodge and Plymouth, to small cars and jeeps. It also expanded into Europe, and in Japan, in 1969, it partnered with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (now Mitsubishi Motors). In the late 1970s, the company fell into a slump and was rebuilt with government-guaranteed loans. It was later rebuilt by Iacocca, but sales were poor and the company stalled, and in November 1998, it merged with Germany's Daimler-Benz to become DaimlerChrysler, which was described as the merger of the century. However, this merger was dissolved in a short time, and Chrysler's business slump continued. In 2007, the financial crisis triggered by the US subprime mortgage problem caused the US market to rapidly cool, and its business performance further deteriorated, and in April 2009, it filed for bankruptcy under the US Federal Bankruptcy Law. The US Obama administration viewed Chrysler, along with GM, which had also gone bankrupt, as a symbol of American capitalism and appealed for support in its reconstruction. A judicial decision was made in an unusually fast manner, and in June 2009, the new Chrysler was launched after agreeing to a capital and business alliance with Fiat of Italy. The new alliance with Fiat ranked sixth in the world in sales of 4.25 million vehicles in 2008, but the global downturn in the automobile industry continues, and the situation is uncertain. New Chrysler's shares are held by the United Auto Workers Union (55%), Fiat (35%), and the rest by the US and Canadian governments.
