Fukui Cave - Fukui Cave
A small sandstone cave in Yoshii-machi, Nagasaki Prefecture (now Sasebo City). Excavations conducted between 1960 and 1963 revealed seven cultural layers spanning the Paleolithic period to the early Jomon period. Radiocarbon dating indicates that the oldest cultural layer dates back more than 30,000 years.
