Subarctic rainy climate - Akantaitauikikou
The subarctic zone is located between the temperate and polar zones, and lies in the latitude range of about 50 to 70 degrees, centered around where the westerly winds and the circumpolar winds (extremely easterly winds) meet. As a result, a polar front (polar front) forms between the two wind systems, and the subarctic zone has relatively high rainfall for a high latitude zone. Unlike the subarctic rainy summer climate of eastern Siberia, which has a lot of rain in the summer and dry winters, the subarctic zone has rainfall almost evenly throughout the year, but it is less than the temperate zone. The winters are harsh, with an average temperature of less than -3°C, and the summers are short but can exceed 20°C, making it possible to grow crops, and annual crop farming is practiced for spring wheat, rye, potatoes, soybeans, and sorghum.
