Itasaka Munetaka

...A collection of what Isasaki Bosai, the personal physician of Tokugawa Ieyasu, saw and heard while accompanying him on military campaigns, travels, and falconry. 3 volumes. Covers the years 1594-1604. The book focuses on Ieyasu and covers topics such as his camp at Nagoya during the Korean expedition, the earthquake at Fushimi Castle, the movements of various feudal lords after Toyotomi Hideyoshi's death, and the situation before and after the Battle of Sekigahara. The date of its creation is unknown, but the author, Isasaki Bosai (Munetaka), died in 1655 (Meireki 1). There are many copies, and it has many alternative names such as "Keinocho Chu Bokusai-ki" and "Isasaki-ki." An important historical document on the downfall of the Toyotomi clan.
