Philip Morris Inc.
America's largest tobacco manufacturer. Owns brands such as Marlboro, Parliament, and Virginia Slims. Headquartered in New York. The company was founded in 1848 as a tobacco shop opened in London by Philip Morris. Founded in Virginia in 1919 as Philip Morris and Co. Ltd., it grew steadily, mainly in the tobacco business, and moved its headquarters to New York in 1929.
