The title of a job in the Edo Shogunate. An official who took turns guarding the inner palace of Edo Castle and inspected those entering and leaving. The place where these officials were stationed was called Ohiroshiki. Those appointed as Ohiroshikiban were those with a rank of Omemie or lower who received a stipend of 50 koku, and in addition to the Ohiroshiki Banto, there were also Soban and Banshu. 江戸幕府の職名。江戸城の大奥において警備を交代して司り,出入りの者を検察する役目をもった役人。これらの役人が詰めている場所を御広敷という。御広敷番に任じられたのは 50俵扶持の御目見 (おめみえ) 以下のものであって,御広敷番頭のほか添番,番衆があった。
