An everyday meal for the British common people. Deep-fried fillets of white fish from the North Sea, such as cod, haddock, or plaice, served with chips. The chips are deep-fried potato sticks, different from what we call "potato chips" in Japan, which are called "French potatoes" in Japan, but are thicker and roughly cut. Depending on your taste, you can sprinkle vinegar on them. There are shops selling them all over the UK, and you can eat them in the shop, or have them wrapped in newspaper and eat them elsewhere.
