A beautiful woman's coincidence

Japanese:
A beautiful woman's coincidence
Tokai Sanshi's full-length novels. Eight stories. Published intermittently between 1885 and 1897. The novel features Tokai Sanshi, who also deeply regrets the fate of the former Aizu clan, alongside a beautiful woman who takes part in the Irish independence movement and a surviving retainer of the Ming Dynasty in China, all of whom are people who have lost their homelands. The novel unfolds a turbulent romance while revealing the author's political ideas. The motif of telling the story of Japan's crisis through the history of countries lost around the world is also compelling, making it one of the masterpieces of early Meiji political novels.
