One-minute sen - buichisen

Japanese: 分一銭 - ぶいちせん
One-minute sen - buichisen
One of the sources of income for the Muromachi Shogunate was a fee of one-fifth or one-tenth of the amount of the credit or debt to the Shogunate, which allowed creditors to be exempt from the amnesty and debtors to have their debts written off. This fee was called bun-ichi-sen.
