VHF - VHF

Abbreviation for very high frequency. One of the frequency divisions stipulated in the radio communication regulations of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Charter, it refers to radio waves in the frequency band above 30 MHz and below 300 MHz. In terms of wavelength division, it is classified as meter wave, which refers to the wavelength range of 10 meters to 1 meter. Generally called very short wave, it is a frequency band that can be used over a wide band, making it possible to use FM (frequency modulation) with good sound quality. Yagi-Uda antennas are mainly used for transmitting and receiving.

very high frequencyの略称。国際電気通信連合（ITU）憲章による無線通信規則に定められている周波数区分の一つで、その範囲は30メガヘルツを超え、300メガヘルツ以下の周波数帯の電波をいう。波長による区分ではメートル波に区分され、波長10メートルから1メートルまでの範囲をいう。一般に超短波とよばれ、広帯域が使用できる周波数帯であるため、音質のよいFM（周波数変調）の使用が可能となる。送受信のアンテナは、主として八木‐宇田アンテナが使用される。
