Khin culture

Japanese: ヒン文化 - ヒンぶんか（英語表記）Khin culture

A culture from the end of the Mesolithic period in the Angara River basin in Russia. This culture was identified by A. Okladnikov from a grave excavated in 1934 in the Khin River basin, a tributary of the Angara River. It is characterized by stone blade arrowheads with secondary processing only on the tip and part of the base of the elongated blade. In particular, some of the bases have a carved edge on one side. There are also bone points and points with double-sided processing that have been created into handles.

ロシア，アンガラ川流域における中石器時代終末の文化。 A.オクラドニコフによって，1934年にアンガラ川支流ヒン川流域で発掘調査された墓からこの文化が設定された。縦長の石刃の先端と基部の一部にのみ，2次加工を加えた石刃鏃が特徴的である。特に基部の形態が，片側縁をえぐったものが含まれている。ほかに，骨製の尖頭器や，柄をつくりだした両面加工の尖頭器もある。
