A tributary of the Congo River in central Africa. It flows along the border between the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic, and the Republic of the Congo, and joins the Congo River south of the equator. It splits into the Wele River and the Bom River in the upper reaches. Its total length is 1,130 km, and together with the Wele River it is about 2,400 km.
