Nagayasu Hirano

Japanese: 平野長泰 - ひらのながやす

1559-1628 Azuchi-Toyotomi - A military commander in the early Edo period.
Born in the second year of the Eiroku era. From Owari (Aichi Prefecture). He first served Toyotomi Hideyoshi and distinguished himself as one of the Seven Spears in the Battle of Shizugatake. He joined the Eastern Army in the Battle of Sekigahara and later served Tokugawa Ieyasu. He died on May 7, the fifth year of the Kanei era. He was 70 years old. His real surname was Kiyohara. His first name was Nagakatsu. He was commonly known as Gonpei.

永禄(えいろく)2年生まれ。尾張(おわり)(愛知県)の人。はじめ豊臣秀吉につかえ,賤ケ岳(しずがたけ)の戦いで七本槍のひとりとして功をたてる。関ケ原の戦いでは東軍に属し,のち徳川家康につかえた。寛永5年5月7日死去。70歳。本姓は清原。初名は長勝。通称は権平。
