Intentional revenge
〘 noun 〙 Killing an enemy to settle a grudge. In the Edo period, it was used as a colloquial term for ' katakiuchi' (vengeance) . 'Ishu gaeshi' (killing someone with a grudge) or 'Ishu gaeshi' (retribution for a quarrel or feud between masters).
