? - c.1334 French manuscript illustrator. Active in Paris from c.1320. Master of the workshop that illustrated and decorated Robert de Biran's Bible (signed, dated 1327) and Belleville's Breviary (c.1323-26, inscribed with name). Based on historical sources and stylistic comparisons, Jeanne Devereux's Hours (c.1325-28) is considered his own masterpiece. With his creative imagination, he realized unprecedentedly complex images in a unique layout that integrated illustrations, text decoration, and border decorations across the entire manuscript page, establishing the tradition of Gothic manuscript illumination that lasted from the 14th to 15th centuries.

フランスの写本挿絵画家。1320年ころよりパリで活動。《ロベール･ド･ビランの聖書》(署名，1327年の年記あり)，《ベルビルの聖務日課書》(1323‐26ころ。名前の書込みあり)の挿絵･装飾を行った工房の親方である。また《ジャンヌ･デブルーの時禱書》(1325‐28ころ)は史料と様式比較から，彼自身の手になる代表作とみなされている。構想力にとみ，前例のない複雑な図像を，写本ページ全体に挿絵，文字装飾，縁飾を一体化した独特なレイアウトで実現，14～15世紀にわたるゴシック写本装飾の伝統を確立した。
