Hungarian poet. When the Hungarian Republican government was established in 1919, he joined it locally. After the collapse of the government, he went into exile in Paris and began publishing poetry. He returned to Hungary in 1926. He was eventually recognized as a promising poet of the younger generation, and after Babić's death he took over Nyugat (West) and ran it as Star of Hungary until 1944. After liberation, he continued to run the newly reborn magazine and participate in politics until 1948, but then devoted himself to creative work, such as the historical drama Dózsa Györgyi (1956).

ハンガリーの詩人。1919年のハンガリー共和政府樹立時，地方でその一員に加わる。瓦解後，亡命してパリに落ちつき，詩を発表し始める。26年帰国。やがて若い世代の有望な詩人として認められ，バビッチの死後《ニュガト(西方)》を引き継ぎ，《ハンガリーの星》として44年まで主宰する。解放後48年まで新生なった同誌の主宰や政治にも参画するが，その後，史劇《ドージャ･ジェルジュ》(1956)等の創作活動に専念する。
