Japanese: 皮膚移植 - ひふいしょく

Also called skin grafting. A method of transplanting skin from another part of the body to fill in the missing area of skin. In principle, it is an autograft. There are pedicle skin grafting, in which the skin is not completely separated, and free skin grafting, in which the skin is separated. The latter includes epidermal skin grafting, dermal skin grafting, and an intermediate method in which small pieces of skin consisting of dermis in the center and epidermis on the periphery are grafted in an island shape. Recently, early skin grafting for burns, which is performed in a sterile environment within a few hours after the injury, has shown good results.

植皮術ともいう。皮膚の欠損部を補うために，他の部分の皮膚を移植する方法。原則として自家移植。皮膚を完全に切り離さない有茎植皮術と，切り離す遊離植皮術とがある。また，後者には表皮植皮術，真皮植皮術，およびその中間的な，中央は真皮，周辺は表皮よりなる小皮片を島状に植皮する方法などがある。最近では，火傷に対する植皮を，受傷後数時間内の無菌のうちに行う早期植皮がよい成績をあげている。
