Japanese: 日高[町] - ひだか

A town in Saru County in southern Hokkaido. It occupies the mountainous area of the upper reaches of the Saru River and the lower reaches facing the Pacific Ocean. It is covered in forests, including the primeval forest at the source of the Saru River (a natural monument), and the lumber industry is thriving. In addition to rice, field crops, and dairy farming, it is also known as a famous producer of light horses. In March 2006, Monbetsu Town in Saru County was incorporated, and the town hall became the former Monbetsu Town Hall. The town suffered damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake. ^{992.11 km2} . 13,615 people (2010).

An old town in Kinosaki County in northern Hyogo Prefecture. The main settlement along the middle reaches of the Maruyama River has long been the center of the Tajima region, and is home to the remains of Kokubunji Temple and is served by the Sanin Main Line. There are lumber, plastic, rubber, and other factories here. Mt. Kannabe in the west is famous as a ski resort. In April 2005, it was incorporated into Toyooka City along with Kinosaki Town, Takeno Town, Izushi Town, and Tanto Town in Kinosaki County. Area: ^{150.24 km2} . Population: 18,596 (2003).

A town in Hidaka County in the west of Wakayama Prefecture. It faces the Kii Channel with a ria coastline. Tomatoes, cucumbers, and other plants are grown in greenhouses, and fruit trees are cultivated. Line fishing and purse seine fishing are also popular. The Kisei Main Line runs through the town. 46.19 ^{km 2 .} 7,432 people (2010).

兵庫県北部，城崎(きのさき)郡の旧町。円山(まるやま)川中流に沿う主集落は古くから但馬(たじま)地方の中心地で国分寺跡などがあり，山陰本線が通じる。製材，プラスチック，ゴムなどの工場が立地。西部の神鍋(かんなべ)山はスキー場として著名。2005年４月城崎郡城崎町，竹野町，出石郡出石町，但東町と豊岡市へ編入。150.24km²。１万8596人（2003）。
