Schlesien

…the region developed within the German cultural sphere, whose influence can be seen in the architecture of the cities and other things. Its German name is Schlesien, and its English name is Silesia. Topographically, it is bordered in the south by the Sudetes and Beskid Mountains, and in the east by the Kraków-Czestochowa Uplands, which border Galicia.
