Pansophia (Latin)

Japanese: 汎知学 - はんちがく（英語表記）pansophia[ラテン]

A northern spiritual movement that emerged during the period of European transformation from the 16th to the 17th century. It is also called Pansofia or Pansophy, a direct copy of the Latin and German words. It was cultivated around 1600 by scholars such as H. Kuhnrad, Nollius, G. Dorn, V. Weigel, and S. Siderocrates, who were mainly active in Kassel and Frankfurt, Germany, and eventually spread to the intellectual group in Tübingen, taking on a more evangelical coloring and finding concentrated expression in the Rosicrucian writings of J. V. Andreae.

16世紀から17世紀にかけてのヨーロッパの転回期に出現した北方の精神運動。ラテン語，ドイツ語を直接写してパンソフィア，パンゾフィーともいう。H.クーンラート，ノリウスNollius，ドルンG.Dorn,V.ワイゲル，ジデロクラテスS.Siderocratesのような，主としてドイツのカッセルとフランクフルトを中心に活動した学者たちによって1600年前後に培われ，やがてチュービンゲンの知識人グループに波及してより福音主義的な色彩を帯びながら，J.V.アンドレーエの薔薇（ばら）十字文書に集中的表現を見いだした。
