Anna Mihaylovna Pankratova (English spelling)

A Soviet historian. A member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR since 1953. He joined the party in 1919 and became a member of the party's Central Committee in 1952. He has written many books on the history of the labor movement, and participated in the editing of the four-volume collection of historical materials, "The Labor Movement in 19th Century Russia." He has also written books on the history of Western Europe, and Russia's 1905 Revolution and October Revolution. He served as the female editor-in-chief of the magazine "Problems of Historical Studies" from 1953 to 1957. He is the editor and author of "The History of the Soviet Union" (translated by Hiroshima Sadakichi, 1951, Shinko Publishing).

ソ連の歴史家。1953年よりソ連科学アカデミー会員。1919年に入党し、52年党中央委員となる。労働運動史について多数の著書があり、四巻本の史料集『19世紀ロシアの労働運動』の編集に参加。そのほか西ヨーロッパ史、ロシアの1905年革命、十月革命についての著作がある。53～57年に『歴史学の諸問題』誌女性編集長として活躍。『ソビエト同盟の歴史』（広島定吉訳、1951・新興出版社）の編著者。
