This is a growth habit seen in some varieties of wheat, rapeseed, radish, etc., in which flower buds form, flower, and fruit even if they are not exposed to low temperatures when they are young. Conversely, if they are not exposed to low temperatures at that time, the stems and leaves continue to grow luxuriantly, and the formation of flower buds, flowering, and fruiting are delayed. This growth habit is called the winter habit. Varieties with the former growth habit are called spring sown varieties, and those with the latter are called autumn sown varieties. The difference between spring sown varieties and autumn sown varieties is actually a matter of degree, and the seeds of each variety are sown from autumn to spring, and for convenience they are divided into seven classes based on the changes in the timing of heading and bolting, and each class is displayed as the degree of spring sown variety (or autumn sown variety).
