A billiard game that pairs with the pocket game, also known as the cannon game. It is broadly divided into four-ball and three-ball games depending on the number of balls used. Three-ball games are divided into three-ball games, cushion games, balkline games, and free games depending on the playing method. Two white balls and one red ball (two in the case of four-ball games) are used. All points are scored by one shot, and a point is scored when the cue ball hits the target ball. Therefore, technical judgment of the movement of the cue ball (path, rotation, etc.) is an important point in scoring. In all games except cushion games, a point is scored by hitting the target ball straight with the cue ball, but in cushion games, the cue ball must hit the cushion a set number of times to score. In balkline games, a limiting frame is drawn on the table, and within that frame, one (or two) target balls cannot be hit unless they are outside the frame by a set number of points.
