Haripunjaya (English spelling)
A Hmong state that flourished from around the 11th century to the end of the 13th century, centered around Lamphun in northwestern Thailand. Haripunjaya is the Pali name, and in Thai it is called Haripunchai. According to Pali history books such as Chamadevivansa and Jinakaramali, written in Chiang Mai in the 15th and 16th centuries, and the Lanna Thai history book Moonrasasana, Haripunchai was the capital city built by the sage Basudeva, and Chamadevi, the daughter of the King of Labapura (Lopburi), sailed up the Ping River with 500 retainers to reach there and establish a dynasty.

11世紀ごろから13世紀末にかけて,タイ北西部のラムプーンを中心に栄えたモン族の国家。ハリプンジャヤとはパーリ語による呼称で,タイ語ではハリプンチャイHaripunchaiという。15~16世紀にチエンマイで著された《チャーマデービーバンサ》《ジナカーラマーリー》などのパーリ語史書やラーンナータイ語の史書《ムーンラサーサナー》などが一致して記すところによれば,ハリプンチャイは聖仙バースデーバによって建設された都で,ラバプラ(ロッブリー)王の娘チャーマデービーが,500人の家来とともにピン川を遡航してそこに至り王朝を創始したという。
