The remains of a medieval city are located on an island in the Ashida River in front of Myoo-in Temple in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. The city was originally formed near the mouth of the Ashida River, and was reported when the Ashida River was renovated in the early Showa period, and excavations have been carried out since 1961.
