Also called gambling. Usually synonymous with gambling. In the narrow sense, it refers to dice gambling (gambling using dice). There are more than a dozen ways to play dice gambling, from choboichi, which uses one dice, to tensai, which uses five dice. The most representative is chinhan gambling, which was popular during the Edo period and even gave rise to gamblers. Two dice are placed in a jar (a deep-bottomed basket covered in paper and coated with persimmon tannin) and shaken on a mat. The total of the dice rolled (even numbers are chin, odd numbers are han) is used to decide the winner, and the winner shares the bet, excluding the temple money. There can be any number of players, but the bets on both the chinza and hanza must be the same amount. The role of the nakabon, who sits in the center, is to combine the amounts, and the nakabon who is poor at playing is called bonkura, or "dark on the tray." Those who ran out of money to bet would borrow money from the boss, so the gambling boss was also called the lender. → Related article Homeless Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
