Hakusan Tomb - Hakusan Kofun

Japanese: 白山古墳 - はくさんこふん

This keyhole-shaped tumulus was located in Minamikase, Saiwai Ward, Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. It was built facing northwest at the end of a hill jutting out onto the south bank of the Tama River, and measures 87m in total length, 42m in diameter at the rear mound, and 37m in width at the front. In 1937, Shibata Tsunee and others from Keio University conducted an excavation survey, uncovering a charcoal coffin, two clay coffins in the rear mound, and one clay coffin in the front mound. These burial facilities are lined up along the main axis of the tumulus, measuring approximately 7m in interior dimensions. The three tumuli in the rear mound have a charcoal coffin in the center, and clay coffins lined up on the north and south sides.

神奈川県川崎市幸区南加瀬に所在した前方後円墳。多摩川南岸に突出した丘陵の末端に北西面して築かれ，全長87m，後円部径42m，前方部幅37mを測る。1937年に，柴田常恵ら慶応義塾大学の関係者が発掘調査を行った。その結果，後円部から木炭槨（もくたんかく）1基，粘土槨2基，前方部から粘土槨1基を検出した。これらの埋葬施設は古墳の主軸に沿って並び，内法7m前後を測る。後円部の3基は，木炭槨を中央にして，南北にそれぞれ粘土槨が並ぶ。
