Nostradamus (English spelling)

Nostradamus (English spelling)
Born: December 14, 1503, Saint-Remy-de-Provence
[Died] July 2, 1566. Salon-de-Provence. French astrologer, physician, and author of the most widely read prophetic book in history. Nostradamus' name is Latin, and his French name is Michel de Nostredame. After nine years of wandering and herbal research from 1521, he entered the medical school of the University of Montpellier in 1529. He obtained his doctorate at the end of 1532 and moved to Agen in 1533 as a physician. After losing his wife and child to the plague, he once again began a long wandering life, but in 1547 he remarried in Salon-de-Provence and opened a medical practice. During that time, he gained fame for his innovative treatments and prescriptions for medicines for the plague in Aix-en-Provence in 1546 and in Lyon the following year. In 1555, he published Les Propheties de M. Michel Nostradamus. The "Centurie" (Poems of a Hundred), a collection of 100 quatrains, consists of three volumes, and the fourth volume, which contains 53 poems, is a total of 4 volumes, with a total of 353 prophetic poems. In the same or the following year, he was invited to the court by Catherine de Medici, wife of King Henry II of France, to predict the fate of the princes. In 1858, he published a new edition of the "Prophecies" with new predictions, and in 1864, he was appointed physician to the new King Charles IX. Nostradamus' predictions have always generated great controversy due to the mysterious writing style and content, which is a mixture of French, Spanish, Latin, and Hebrew. Some of his predictions, including some details of the 18th century French Revolution, are thought to have predicted historical events in later generations.
