Trinn

...In the late Le Dynasty (1529-1788) in Vietnam, this clan held real power by suppressing the Le Emperor and opposing the Nguyen clan of the Quang Nam Dynasty based in Hue. They are also written as Trần Trin. When the Le Dynasty was terminated by the Mỹ clan in the 16th century, its founder Trinh Kiếm worked to restore it under Nguyen Kim, and when Kim died in 1545, he became Grand Tutor and took real power.
