Japanese: ネパール語 - ネパールご（英語表記）Nepali language

It is the language of the Brahmans (Hindu priestly class, also called Baung) and Chhetris (warrior class) of Nepal. It has about 8 million speakers. It is a part of the Pahāri language, and is also called Kaskra, Gorkhali, and Parbati. After the unification of the country, it has also been used as a lingua franca. Other Tibeto-Burman languages are also spoken in Nepal.

ネパールのブラーマン (ヒンドゥー教の司祭者階級。バウンともいう) とチェットリ (戦士の階級) の言語。話し手は約 800万人。パハーリー語の一部をなし，カスクラ語，ゴルカリ語，パルバティア語ともいわれる。国土統一後は共通語としても使われている。なお，ネパールでは，ほかにチベット＝ビルマ語系の言語も話されている。
