Japanese: 種まき機 - たねまきき

Also called a seeder. In addition to the simple hand-pushed seeder that mechanically pushes the seeds through holes in a seed box, there are also spot seeders, row seeders, and broadcast seeders that are pulled by a tractor. Spot seeders and row seeders are designed to drop the seeds from a delivery device located under the hopper, and are usually equipped with a furrow cutting device and a soil covering device. Broadcast seeders spread the seeds from a centrifugal spreader with blades, and many can also be used as fertilizer applicators.

播種(はしゅ)機，シーダーとも。種子箱の穴から機械的に種子を送り出す簡単な手押し播種機のほか，トラクター牽引(けんいん)用の点播機，条播機，散播機がある。点播機と条播機はホッパーの下にある繰出装置から種子を落下させる構造で，ふつう溝切装置，覆土鎮圧装置等が装備されている。散播機は種子を羽根のついた遠心散布板から散布し，施肥機と兼用できるものが多い。
