Netball (English)

Netball (English)
A women's outdoor ball game similar to basketball. It was first played in the UK in the late 19th century, based on the women's version of basketball introduced from the US, and has since spread mainly to Commonwealth countries. A team consists of seven players: three centers, two attackers, and two defenders. The court is a rectangle measuring 30.5m x 15.25m, with 3.05m-high goal posts on both ends, a ring with a net, and a semicircular goal circle with a radius of 4.9m below the net for the attackers to shoot. The game is played by passing the ball between two attackers, who break through the defense of the opposing team's defenders and shoot to score points. The main differences from basketball are that there are fixed roles for the attacker, who shoots, the center, who passes the ball to the attacker, and the defender, who blocks the opponent's goal, and the range of action for each position is specified, goals scored by players other than the attackers do not count as points, and players cannot dribble the ball.
