A leader of the peasant struggle in the early Joseon Dynasty of Korea. He was a member of a powerful clan in Kilju, Hamgyong Province, and served as the governor of Hoeryong Province, among other positions. In 1467, he organized local clans and peasants in Hamgyong Province in opposition to the expulsion of local clans, the strengthening of central control, and the increase in the burden of land taxes and military service, and launched a four-month-long rebellion. They killed officials sent from the central government and demanded the appointment of people from Hamgyong Province to local government positions, but the rebellion was put down. After this, the government temporarily abolished all the Yuhyangso (later reorganized as Gocho), which had been the base of local power since the end of the Goryeo period, throughout the country. 朝鮮，李朝初期の農民闘争の指導者。咸鏡道吉州の大豪族で会寧府使などを歴任したが，1467年，地方豪族の排除，中央支配の強化，田税･軍役などの負担増に反対し，咸鏡道の土豪･農民を組織して4ヵ月に及ぶ反乱を起こした。中央派遣の役人を殺害し，咸鏡道出身者の地方官任命などを要求したが鎮圧される。このあと政府は，高麗末期から地方勢力の拠点となっていた全国の留郷所(のちに郷庁に改組)を一時廃止した。【矢沢康祐】
