A monk and Noh mask maker from the Muromachi period. Also written as Daikobo. Dates of birth and death unknown. He is said to have learned mask making from Sankobo, a monk at Heisen-ji Temple in Echizen. He is said to have been the teacher of Zekan Yoshimitsu, who founded the Ono Deme family, one of the three major families of hereditary Noh mask makers in the early modern period. He is also thought to have been the maker of the 1543 (Tenbun 12) honjibutsu (local Buddha) at Kasuga Shrine in Asai-cho, Higashiasai-gun, Shiga Prefecture, but this is not clear. His transmission is known only from early modern documents relating to Noh theater, and therefore his works are also unclear.
