A former town in Taki District, located in the northwest of the Sasayama Basin in eastern Hyogo Prefecture. Most of the area is mountainous, and the towns are famous for Tanba chestnuts, Chinese yams, and Kawakita black soybeans. They also grow rice. In April 1999, the towns of Sasayama, Tannan, and Konda in Taki District merged to form Sasayama City. Area: 54.42 km2 . Population: 4,125 (1995). 兵庫県東部,篠山(ささやま)盆地北西部にある多紀郡の旧町。大部分は山地で,丹波グリ,ヤマノイモ,川北黒大豆を特産,米作も行う。1999年4月に,多紀郡篠山(ささやま)町,丹南町,今田(こんだ)町と合併し市制,篠山市となる。54.42km2。4125人(1995)。
