A prefecture in northern Spain at the foot of the southern Pyrenees, forming one prefecture and one autonomous community. It is bordered to the south by the Ebro River. It was once part of the Kingdom of Navarre. It is made up of hills and mountains, and produces wheat, grapes, and olives. Forestry is also thriving. It has mineral deposits of marble, copper, silver, and lead. Its capital is Pamplona. It has an area of 10,390 km2 .
