The story is about four young men and women living in Athens, whose love affairs are complicated and complicated, but they end happily in the forest thanks to a love potion from the fairy Puck. The three worlds of the court, the townspeople, and the fairies are cleverly linked together. Mendelssohn composed 13 pieces of incidental music for this play, and the "Wedding March" is particularly famous.
