A city in central Thailand. The capital of Nakhon Sawan Province. It is a key transportation hub connecting the central and northern regions, and once flourished as a distribution center for rice and teak wood. It is close to the confluence of the Ping River and the Nan River, tributaries of the Chao Phraya River, and to Lake Boraphot, the country's largest swamp, and is a thriving fishing town.
