Parapercis pulchella (English name: Parapercis pulchella)
A marine fish of the family Trachilidae in the order Perciformes. It is widely distributed along the coasts of the Pacific Ocean in the Kanto region, the Sea of ​​Japan in areas south of Niigata Prefecture, the South China Sea, and the Indian Ocean. It is a small fish with a cylindrical body up to 20 cm in length, and many of its local names include "haze" because it resembles a goby at first glance. It is called "torahaze" in a wide area of ​​Kansai, Shikoku, and Kyushu, "akahaze" or "okihaze" in Kochi Prefecture, "shimahaze" in Hiroshima Prefecture, "ishibue" in Tanabe, Wakayama Prefecture, and "shimagochi" in Yonago, Tottori Prefecture. Its body color is a light yellow-brown with six blue lines on the head and six dark brown horizontal bands on the body.
