Natural flowers and plants dried for decorative purposes. They can be naturally dried, collected from withered plants, dehydrated and dried using desiccants or other methods, treated with high heat for a short time, or freeze-dried. Naturally dried flowers are the most common for decorative purposes. Plants such as wheat daisy, globe amaranth, and statice do not naturally drain water, making them suitable for drying. A famous place for producing them is Australia, which has suitable climate conditions and is also known as a "treasure trove of dried flowers." Dried flowers have been around in Europe since the 18th century, but have only become popular in Japan since the mid-1960s.
