Early modern daimyo and hatamoto. Born in Bitchu Province. Formerly a vassal of the Ukita clan. Michiyasu was awarded 29,200 koku in Niwase, Bitchu Province, for his military achievements in the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600 (Keicho 5). During the time of his son Masayasu, the estate was divided between his two younger brothers, and so on through the generations, until in 1775 (Enpo 3), he was awarded 20,000 koku. With the death of the head of the family, Yasukaze, in 1779, the family became heirless. However, the family name was inherited by his younger brother Michitomi (5,000 koku). From then on, they continued as hatamoto until the end of the Edo period. Many members of the family had fiefs within Bitchu Province through division of the estate.
