Copper River - Dosen

Japanese: 銅川 - どうせん

A provincially-controlled city located in the center of Shaanxi Province, China, at the southern end of the Loess Plateau. The city government is located at Shilipu, the terminus of the Xianyang-Xiantong Railway, and the city includes Yao County. During the Qin and Han dynasties, it belonged to Zuofengyi as an area within the capital Chang'an, and Qi County was established on the site of today's Yao County. During the Three Kingdoms Wei dynasty, Beidi County was established here, and although the name changed to Yizhou and Tongchuan County during the Northern Dynasties, it was a key point on the transportation route from Chang'an to the northern areas of the city. Meanwhile, during the Jin dynasty, the Former Qin, a northern ethnic group, established a military protector in Tongchuan, and during the Northern Wei dynasty, it became a county and belonged to Beidi County.

中国，陝西省中央，黄土台地の南端を占める省直轄市。市政府は咸陽（かんよう）より通ずる咸銅鉄道の終点である十里舗に置かれ，市域内には耀県（ようけん）を含む。秦･漢においては国都長安の畿内の地として左馮翊（さひようよく）に属し，今の耀県の地に祋県（たいうけん）が置かれた。三国魏はここに北地郡を置き，北朝を通じて宜州，通川郡と名称は変わったが，長安より北方の塞外へ至る交通路上の要衝であった。一方，銅川の地は，晋のとき，北方異民族である前秦が同官護軍を置き，北魏のときに県となって北地郡に属した。
