Lost Books - Isson Sosho
A collection of books from the Edo period that collected Chinese books (lost books) that were lost in China and passed down to Japan. Compiled by Hayashi Shunsai. 60 volumes. Published six times between 1799 (Kansei 11) and 1809 (Bunka 6). Contains 17 books: "Ancient Filial Piety Book," "Five Elements, Great Meaning," "Miscellaneous Records of the Emperor," "Contributions of the Emperor," "Yu Shu Yaolu," "New Records of the Two Capitals," "Miscellaneous Poems of Li Qiao," "Liguan Cilin," "One volume and one book of poems inspired by Master Wen Gong Zhu," "One volume and one book of Wuyi Kaiga," "Tai Xuan Yi Biography," "Zuo Shi Mengqiu," "Tang Caizhi Biography," "Five volumes of Wang Hanlin's Annotated Annotations of the 81st Anan Jing Sutra of Emperor Huangdi," "Ancient Mengqiu," "Cui Sharen Yutang's Manuscripts and Appendix, 22 volumes," "New Lectures on the Book of Changes in Zhou," and "Collection of Song Jingwen Gong." All of these works were of great value and were soon re-imported to China and included in Chinese collections, and in recent years facsimiles of all of them have been published.

中国では散逸し,日本に伝わる中国の書籍(佚存書)を集めた江戸時代の叢書。林述斎編。60冊。寛政11(1799)年から文化6(1809)年の間に 6回にわたり刊行。『古文孝経』『五行大義』『臣軌』『楽書要録』『両京新記』『李嶠雑詠』『文館詞林』『文公朱先生感興詩一巻一冊』『武夷櫂歌一巻一冊』『泰軒易伝』『左氏蒙求』『唐才子伝』『王翰林集註黄帝八十一難経五巻』『古本蒙求』『崔舎人玉堂類稿西垣類稿竝附録二十二巻』『周易新講義』『宋景文公集』の 17種が収められている。いずれも高い価値をもつもので,まもなく中国に逆輸入されて中国の叢書に取り入れられ,近年には全部の影印本が出版されている。
