Agatha (English spelling)
A saint who was martyred in Catania, Sicily, around the 3rd century. She was pressured by the authorities to apostatize, but she refused and was martyred under torture. Many martyrdom stories have been written about her in Greek and Latin. Her feast day is February 5th.
