Registration fees are a collective term for the fees paid to judicial scriveners for the registration procedures that must be carried out at the Legal Affairs Bureau when buying land or building a house, as well as registration and license taxes. If it is the seller's duty to enable the buyer to acquire full ownership, then these so-called registration fees are costs required for the seller to fulfill his or her obligations under the sales contract, but in actual transactions, there is usually a special clause stating that the registration fees, especially the registration and license taxes, are to be borne by the buyer, and this has become customary law.
